(Basketball News) - James Posey scored 16 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter, leading the Memphis Grizzlies to a 108-93 win over the Chicago Bulls on Thursday at The Pyramid.
Posey hit 10-of-10 from the free throw line in the final period to help the Grizzlies capture their third straight win. Jason Williams added 20 points and nine assists, and the Grizzlies have now won five of their last six following a seven-game skid. Memphis has scored 100 points or more in each of the last six games, a franchise record.
"This system is wide open and under control. We get a lot of easy buckets in our system," Posey explained. "The team plays very unselfish and we pass the ball well."
Mike Miller and Bonzi Wells each chipped in 12 points for Memphis, which won its third straight at home to improve to 12-5 as the host this season.
"The team played good tonight. Posey came up big for us in the fourth. It’s good that we can finish out games like this," Wells said of the Grizzlies’ effort.
Memphis’ Pau Gasol hit just 4-of-12 shots from the field and ended with 11 points.
The Grizzlies are off until Saturday when they visit Allen Iverson and the Philadelphia 76ers.
