Memphis Grizzlies Team Report - March 14

(Basketball News) - The Memphis Grizzlies lost to the Houston Rockets, 88-80, on Saturday at the Toyota Center. Stromile Swift scored 19 to lead the Grizzlies, who had a seven-game win streak halted.

Bonzi Wells had 16 points, Gasol pumped in 12 and James Posey added 10 points and seven rebounds for the Grizzlies, who shot just 39 percent (32-of-82) from the floor, going a season-worst 1-of-15 from beyond the arc. Memphis was 15- of-17 from the free throw line.

Memphis fell to 16-17 on the road this season.

Swift has averaged 13 points and five rebounds in his last three games.

The Grizzlies are off until Tuesday when they host the Philadelphia 76ers. It will be the second and final meeting of the season between the two teams. On January 17, the Grizzlies beat the Sixers, 91-87, at the Wachovia Center.
