(Basketball News) - Pau Gasol had 25 points, 11 rebounds and six assists to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 97-88 win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday at the Rose Garden.
Bonzi Wells poured in a game-high 28 points in his return to Portland, while Jason Williams finished with 10 points and 10 assists for Memphis, which has won three in a row.
Wells made his first trip to Portland since the Trail Blazers sent him packing in December.
The game was originally scheduled for January 6, but a snowstorm hit the Portland area and forced its postponement until Wednesday.
Wells buried a three-pointer and followed it up with a layup to make it 90-74 for the Grizzlies, who have won eight of their last 10 games. Portland never threatened the rest of the way.
Gasol has averaged 18.3 points and 7.2 rebounds in his last 10 games.
Wells has scored in double digits in seven of his last eight games. He has averaged 15.9 points per game in that span.
The Grizzlies are off until Saturday when they visit the Los Angeles Clippers. Memphis is 2-0 against the Clippers this season, as it has picked up a win at The Pyramid and a victory at the Staples Center.
