(Basketball News) - The Memphis Grizzlies lost for the third time in four games on Tuesday night, as the Kings handed them a 109-89 loss at ARCO Arena.
Memphis was led by Pau Gasol’s 21 points and 10 rebounds, but still lost for the 16th time in 17 tries all-time in Sacramento.
Jason Williams contributed 15 points for the Grizzlies, who finished their three-game road trip with consecutive losses at Los Angeles and Sacramento. Memphis was blown out of the building during a 121-89 loss to the Lakers on Sunday night.
Memphis has lost 11 straight at ARCO and hasn’t won there since April 19, 1998.
The Grizzlies lost center Lorenzen Wright to an ankle injury in the second half. He did not return.
Memphis’ next game is Friday night at home against Kevin Garnett and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
