(Basketball News) - The Memphis Grizzlies had a two-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday, as they suffered a 93-87 defeat to the Portland Trail Blazers at the Rose Garden.
Pau Gasol and Mike Miller each contributed 19 points for Memphis, which suffered its first loss since a season-opening defeat to Boston. James Posey finished with 11 points and Lorenzen Wright added 10.
Jason Williams had 10 assists for the Grizzlies, who were outscored 50-32 in the first half and never recovered. Memphis shot just 41 percent for the game and was outrebounded by Portland, 50-37.
The Grizzlies are off until Friday when they head to Phoenix to battle the Suns at America West Arena.
