(Basketball News) - The Memphis Grizzlies were defeated Friday by the Phoenix Suns, 96-88, at America West Arena.
Pau Gasol notched a game-high 23 points for the Grizzlies, who suffered their second straight loss. Shane Battier delivered 14 points.
Lorenzen Wright delivered 10 points and nine rebounds for Memphis, while Jason Williams added nine points and nine boards.
Phoenix has won four of the last five meetings in the series and 12 of its last 13 at home over the Grizzlies, who are 2-15 all-time at America West Arena.
The Grizzlies visit the Utah Jazz tonight.
