(Basketball News) - Michael Redd scored 25 points and Joe Smith added 18, as the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 106-94, Tuesday at Philips Arena.
Erick Strickland and Dan Gadzuric chipped in 15 points apiece for Milwaukee, which has won four of its last six contests.
Atlanta trimmed an 11-point deficit early in the fourth quarter to 94-90 on a layup by Theo Ratliff with 3:44 remaining.
Milwaukee then responded with a 9-0 spurt to extend the lead to 103-90 with just 1:11 left. Redd ignited the decisive run with a three-pointer and capped it with a jumper.
Damon Jones contributed 11 points and 10 assists for Milwaukee.
Bucks forward Tim Thomas missed his fourth straight game with a sprained ankle, while teammate Toni Kukoc (back) also sat out the contest.
Milwaukee halted a three-game skid at Atlanta.
The Bucks are off until Friday when they visit Jason Kidd and the New Jersey Nets.
