Milwaukee hosts Kidd, Nets 12.23.2006

This is the third and final meeting of the season between the clubs. The Nets picked up a pair of victories over Milwaukee at Continental Airlines Arena in the two previous contests.

The Nets try to get back on the winning track this evening. Kobe Bryant was suffering from a chest cold, but still had 21 points and a season-high 11 assists to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 99-95 victory over the Nets on Friday at Continental Airlines Arena.
Vince Carter had 33 points and five rebounds in the loss to the Lakers for New Jersey, while Richard Jefferson netted 18 for the Nets, who have dropped three of their last five games overall. Jason Kidd added 16 points, five rebounds and nine assists in defeat.
Nets center Nenad Krstic suffered a left knee injury in the third quarter of Friday’s loss. He is averaging 16.4 points and 6.8 rebounds this season. Krstic is expected to miss tonight’s game and could be out for an extended period of time.
New Jersey is 3-6 on the road this season. The Nets are scheduled to visit the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday at The Palace of Auburn Hills.
Milwaukee attempts to extend its season-long winning streak to four games. Maurice Williams scored 12 of his 26 points down the stretch as the Bucks outlasted the Minnesota Timberwolves, 113-107, on Friday at the Target Center.
Michael Redd finished with 29 points in the win over Minnesota for the Bucks, who snapped a seven-game skid in Minneapolis. Charlie Bell chipped in 28 points and four steals in the victory.
The Bucks are 7-4 at home this season. After tonight’s game, they will embark on a three-game road trip. Milwaukee will visit San Antonio, Memphis and Cleveland on the upcoming swing.
