Charlotte, NC (Basketball News) - Richard Jefferson scored 28 points to lead New Jersey to a 94-91 win over Charlotte. Rodney Buford finished with 16 points for the Nets, who snapped a three-game losing streak. Nenad Krstic posted 13 points and 12 rebounds in the win before being ejected midway through the third quarter. Kareem Rush, who made 10-of-19 shots from the field, posted 23 points for the Bobcats, who had their five-game home winning streak snapped. Steve Smith notched 13 points, while Emeka Okafor chipped in 10 points and 11 rebounds in the setback.

Cleveland, OH (Basketball News) - LeBron James racked up 26 points and 12 assists and Zydrunas Ilgauskas netted 25 points as Cleveland cruised to a 107-97 victory over Minnesota at Gund Arena. Jeff McInnis connected on 7-of-10 field-goal attempts in a 21-point effort for the Cavaliers, who stopped a two- game slide and improved to 10-2 at home. Kevin Garnett compiled 26 points and 13 boards for the Timberwolves, who have dropped two of three. Sam Cassell and Troy Hudson finished with 19 and 17 points, respectively, in the loss.

New York, NY (Basketball News) - Josh Howard, Dirk Nowitzki and Michael Finley all scored over 20 points to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 123-94 rout of the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Howard recorded his first career double-double with a season-high 26 points and 16 boards for the Mavs, who never trailed and led by as many as 46 points. Nowitzki ended with 23 points and Finley tallied 21, as Dallas has won two in a row and four of five overall. Nazr Mohammed had 14 points and 11 boards for the Knicks, who had a two-game win streak snapped and lost for only the second time in six outings. Stephon Marbury was held to only 12 points in the loss.

Miami, FL (Basketball News) - Dwyane Wade poured in 33 points and dished out 11 assists to lead Miami to a 108-100 win over Boston at AmericanAirlines Arena. Udonis Haslem added 18 points and tied a career-high with 17 rebounds for the Heat, who have won nine straight games and are on their longest winning streak since capturing 10 straight in March, 1998. Miami played without All- Star center Shaquille O’Neal, who sat out with a calf injury. Eddie Jones contributed 17 points and Damon Jones netted 12 in the win. Paul Pierce had 25 points and grabbed six rebounds for the Celtics, who lost for only the second time in their last six contests. Al Jefferson added 15 points and nine boards in the setback.

Sacramento, CA (Basketball News) - Peja Stojakovic finished with 26 points and six rebounds to lead Sacramento to a 104-93 win over Washington at ARCO Arena. Mike Bibby scored 24 points for the Kings, who have won seven straight over Washington at home and two straight overall. Chris Webber contributed 20 points, 10 rebounds and six assists in the win. Gilbert Arenas posted 22 points and six boards for the Wizards, who have lost two of their last three. Antawn Jamison posted 20 points and Larry Hughes added 19 in the loss.

Final Score: LA Clippers 100, New Orleans 91 (OT)

Los Angeles, CA (Basketball News) - Rick Brunson recorded 11 of his 18 points in overtime as the Los Angeles Clippers stopped a five-game losing streak with a 100-91 victory over the dismal New Orleans Hornets at the Staples Center. Bobby Simmons matched a career-high with 30 points and Elton Brand compiled 23 points and 13 rebounds for the Clippers, who played without leading scorer Corey Maggette and starting point guard Marko Jaric. David Wesley registered 22 points for the Hornets, including 16 in the third quarter to spark the improbable rally. Lee Nailon finished with 21 points and Chris Andersen pulled down a career-best 18 rebounds for New Orleans, which has lost three in a row and 14 of its last 15.
