Wade to the Bulls?

June 03 08
This is a special feature by guest blogger Christopher Sells.

If you’ve read some of my past work, you may know by now that I don’t really care for Pat Riley that much. This is not to say that I don’t have a great deal of respect for a man that has coached three different teams into the NBA Finals and won championships with two.

But if these new rumors are true, I may soon lose that respect as well. Word out there is that the Bulls and Heat are considering swapping picks in the upcoming draft, along with Dwyane Wade. I have absolutely no idea why the Heat would do this. Wade, ever the professional, had this to say about the rumors:

"I have heard my name being talked about, and I can’t worry about it. There is one thing in this league that you have no control over. If another organization wants you, then you should feel good to be wanted."

This is true, of course. And what team wouldn’t want Wade? Aside from his injury concerns, which should be cleared up come next season, there’s not much negative that comes with him. He’s a top ten player when healthy and one of the league’s most recognizable faces. He’s won a championship and plays hard almost to a fault. So he might be with Star Jones. Hey, no one’s perfect.

And if Riley is going to give Wade away for an unproven rookie and the spare parts that are on the Bulls’ roster, he’s certifiably insane.

im sorry but you are all dumb. thomas still might not be ready to start, first off. second, ben gordon hasnt even been mentioned at all. he might have the highest trade value next to deng. but hes too good of a scorer to trade. We need more offense to free ben up and not have so much pressure on him.Kirks gotta go.Then we get to play duhon more(which i think he deserves). Hughs gotta go with kirk, although thats a hefty contract to add on. Package that to get a jermane oneal or elton. drose/dwade with gordon, deng, noc, noah, gooden, thomas, sefolosha, and oneal/brand? wow thats an east contender if ive ever heard one! .

Cool dude 81, go home. And wade’s not goin anywhere. Like someone else mentioned, riles prefers vets, and, he clained when he traded shaq that this is gonna become wades team and they’re gonna build around him, so trading him now, would make no sense, I hate these people who start the most bulls---rumors. btw if wade leaves the heat, no matter who we get, ima cry myself to sleep the first night. .

if this trade goes down, miami will be the sure winner.. they get two young future all-stars in rose and beasley.... unless the bulls can get low post player like Jermaine oneal or elton brand to pair up with wade deng or gordon, they will still be a few pieces short of title contention........ .

I havent blogged in a minute but this has been on my mind as of late. The bulls and the heat are in crazy positions but I feel the the bull need to trade there pick away to the heat for D Wade. I mean rose is a heck of a player but if you put Wade in the mix with hinrich, deng, thomas and gooden you will have a pretty solid team.. And just imagine if the bulls learned there lesson from last year(passing on Gasol) They could package a deal for J. Oneal.. Wow that starting line up would be Nsane: Hinrich Wade, Deng, Thomas, Oneal and Gooden and noc coming off the bench! wow, I wish I was a GM.. .
