Artest, Jackson suspended seven games 07.14.2007

Jackson was suspended for pleading guilty to criminal recklessness stemming from a gun-firing incident last fall when he was with the Pacers. He had to pay a $5,000 fine and ordered perform 100 hours of community service.
Artest was reprimanded for pleading no contest to infliction of injury on a spouse stemming from a domestic dispute in March in Placer County, California. At the time, Artest was suspended indefinitely by the Kings and later fined $600, ordered to get counseling, conduct 100 hours of community service and take part in a 10-day work project.
The suspensions will begin with the first game of the 2007-08 NBA regular season.
Both players were involved in the infamous fight with fans at the Palace in November, 2004. They were each suspended by the league for the fight with Artest getting 73 games and Jackson 30 games.
