(Basketball News) - The Hawks dropped a 101-96 decision to the Golden State Warriors at The Arena in Oakland on Wednesday night.
Antoine Walker netted a team-high 27 points for the Hawks, who have dropped 17 straight road games and six in a row overall. Atlanta has a dismal 2-24 record as the visiting team this season.
Walker hit 11-of-25 from the field, including 5-of-7 from three-point range. The talented Walker has posted 20.4 points and 9.4 rebounds per contest this season.
Josh Childress posted 17 points and 15 rebounds in the loss, while Al Harrington chipped in 14 points and 14 boards. Tyronn Lue tacked on 12 points and eight assists in the defeat. Childress has emerged as a consistent scoring threat as of late, registering double-figures in six of the last seven games.
Atlanta shot 42.3 percent from the field, including 6-of-15 (.400) from three- point range. The Hawks hit 8-of-13 (.615) from the free throw line. Atlanta outrebounded the Warriors, 59-50, in the contest.
Atlanta guard Tony Delk left the game with a left hand contusion. Delk is listed as day-to-day.
Atlanta is 28th in the league in scoring offense (90.7 ppg) and 24th in points allowed (99.9). The Hawks are a league-worst -9.3 in point differential and 25th in shooting percentage (.435).
The Hawks have a day off before continuing their seven-game road trip in Portland on Friday night.
