(Basketball News) - The Atlanta Hawks lost to the Orlando Magic, 101-96, on Friday at TD Waterhouse Centre.

Tracy McGrady’s jumper with five minutes remaining staked the Magic to an 88-81 lead, but Atlanta mounted an 11-3 run over the next three minutes, capped by a Terry three-point play, to go on top 92-91. Tyronn Lue followed at the other end of the court with a three and then made a free throw on the next possession to put the Magic back up 95-92.
Joel Przybilla converted a layup and Jackson made a steal and a layup off the inbounds pass to give the edge back to the Hawks at 96-95 with 1:15 left. Lue answered again for the Magic by scoring the next four points and Sean Rooks made a pair of free throws with four seconds remaining to seal the win.
Terry has scored in double digits in 10 straight games. He has averaged 19.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.7 assists in that span.
The Hawks are off until Monday when they host rookie phenom LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. It will be the fourth and final meeting of the season between the two teams. Atlanta is 1-2 versus the Cavs, as it won once at Philips Arena and dropped a pair at Gund Arena.
