=== Atlanta Hawks Team Report - November 13 ===

(Basketball News) - Dion Glover scored a game-high 23 points to lead the Atlanta Hawks over the Phoenix Suns, 99-94, on Wednesday at America West Arena.

Atlanta hadn’t won in Phoenix since November 15, 1991, when the Suns played their final season at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Phoenix had been 10-0 against the Hawks at American West Arena.

Glover was 8-of-14 from the floor, including a 4-of-5 performance from behind the arc, as the Hawks won for just the third time in nine games this season. Stephen Jackson scored 18 for Atlanta, while Jason Terry added 17 points and a game-high seven assists.

Shareef-Abdur Rahim finished with 16 points for Atlanta.

The game was tight entering the fourth quarter, with Atlanta holding a slim 73-72 lead. The Hawks then opened the final frame with an 11-2 burst, grabbing an 84-74 advantage when Terry drained a three-pointer around the 9:00 mark.

Phoenix responded with a 15-6 spurt over the next six minutes, pulling within 90-89 when Casey Jacobsen fired home a three. The Suns fell behind by four at the 1:22 mark when Glover’s three made it 95-91, but Shawn Marion responded at the other end with a trey to make it a one-point game again.

Terry’s free throws extended the Atlanta lead to 97-94 with 19 seconds remaining. Phoenix had a good opportunity to tie it at the other end, but Joe Johnson’s three missed its mark and Stephon Marbury airballed one from behind the arc with three seconds remaining as the Hawks held on for the win.

The Hawks, who finished their five-game road trip at 2-3, are off until Saturday when they host Jason Kidd and the New Jersey Nets.
