Logan, UT (Basketball News) - Jaycee Carroll scored a game-high 22 points in leading the Utah State Aggies past the CS-Northridge Matadors, 77-57, in Big West Conference action at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
Spencer Nelson finished with 17 points and five boards, while Cass Matheus tallied 13 points for Utah State (18-5, 9-3 BWC), which has now won seven straight contests. Nate Harris also got into the mix with a double-double that consisted of 12 points and a game-high 15 rebounds.
Ian Boylan led the way for CS-Northridge (12-10, 9-4) with 19 points and nine rebounds. Eto Onyenegecha tallied 14 points, as the Matadors saw their three- game winning streak come to an end.
The Aggies dominated from the start, as they shot 53.6 percent from the floor in the opening 20 minutes to claim a 36-26 lead at the break.
Utah State shot an even better 58.3 percent from the field in the second stanza, as it pulled away for the 20-point win.
