NCAA Game Summary - Denver at New Orleans

New Orleans, LA (Basketball News) - Kyle Buggs netted 17 points while leading the New Orleans Privateers to a 74-73 double-overtime victory over the Denver Pioneers in a Sun Belt Conference clash.

Bo McCalebb tallied 16 points for New Orleans (15-13, 9-6 SBC), which snapped a two-game losing skid. Nathaniel Parker added 14 points and collected seven rebounds in the victory.

Yemi Nicholson poured in a game-high 21 points and grabbed seven boards for Denver (14-13, 6-9), which has a three-game losing streak. Erik Benzel contributed 18 points, while Carvell McAlister chipped in 11 points and pulled down seven boards in the losing effort.

The Pioneers used a 22-6 run early in the opening frame to take a 33-25 advantage into the break.

The Privateers used a 15-5 run midway through the second stanza to send the contest into an extra session tied 62-62.

Both teams tallied seven points in the extra session, sending the contest into a second overtime tied 69-69.

Buggs netted a three-point basket in the late moments of the second extra sessions en route to the one-point victory.

The Privateers netted just 39.1 percent of their shots from the field on the night, while Denver netted 43.5 percent of its shots.
