NCAA Game Summary - Idaho at Pacific

02.13.2004

Stockton, CA (Basketball News) - Miah Davis scored 18 points to lead the Pacific Tigers to a 62-56 victory over the Idaho Vandals in a Big West Conference matchup.

Tyler Newton pitched in 14 points off the bench for Pacific (16-7, 11-1 BWC), which extended its winning streak to seven games. David Doubley tallied 11 points for the Tigers, and Christian Maraker finished with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Tyrone Hayes scored 16 points and Dwayne Williams added 14 points for Idaho (9-13, 5-7), which had a three-game winning streak snapped.

Pacific held a 32-28 lead at intermission after shooting 55 percent from the floor in the first half, including a 5-of-10 effort from three-point range.

Although the Tigers connected on only 26.1 percent of their field goal attempts in the second half, including 1-of-9 from behind the arc, they did hit 17-of-23 foul shots over the final 20 minutes to seal the victory.

A key to the victory for Pacific was that it outscored Idaho 22-11 from the charity stripe in the tilt.
