Lafayette, LA (Basketball News) - Tiras Wade poured in a game-high 26 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the UL-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns to a 91-49 victory over the New Mexico State Aggies in a Sun Belt Conference tilt.
Orien Greene added 14 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for ULL (16-8, 10-2 SBC), while Dwayne Mitchell contributed 14 points and six assist. Brian Hamilton posted 11 points and seven rebounds in the win.
Byron Davis netted 11 points for New Mexico State (5-20, 1-11), while Duane John chipped in 10 points in the setback.
The Cajuns used an 18-6 run early in the opening frame to take a commanding 45-29 lead into the break.
ULL used a 20-2 run midway through the second stanza en route to the 42-point victory.
The Cajuns committed 14 turnovers on the night, but forced New Mexico State into 21 miscues.
With the victory, UL-Lafayette became the first school in SBC history to post double-figure conference wins in six straight campaigns.
