Dallas, TX (Basketball News) - Tony Allen poured in a game-high 21 points and ripped down nine rebounds as seventh-ranked Oklahoma State won the Big 12 Tournament championship with a 65-49 victory over 11th-ranked Texas at American Airlines Center.
John Lucas added 15 points for the top-seeded Cowboys (27-3), who won their first Big 12 Tournament title. Joey Graham chipped in 14 points and eight rebounds, as Oklahoma State won its sixth straight game overall.
The victory also marked Oklahoma State’s first league tournament title since 1995, when it captured the Big 8 crown.
Jason Klotz scored 15 points and was the only double-figure scorer for the second-seeded Longhorns (23-7), as Texas had a two-game winning streak snapped.
Oklahoma State also pulled off the season sweep of Texas by winning all three contests.
