Milwaukee, WI (Basketball News) - Maurice Williams made a desperation three- point basket as time expired to give Milwaukee a thrilling 103-102 victory over Indiana at the Bradley Center.
Williams scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half while Michael Redd netted 28 for the Bucks, who never led at any point until Williams’ 30-footer at the buzzer.
With the Pacers up 101-100, Indiana’s Fred Jones went to the foul line with seven seconds left to play and hit the first shot before his second missed the mark. Jermaine O’Neal got the offensive rebound but couldn’t convert, and Milwaukee’s Bobby Simmons grabbed the carom and kicked it out to Williams, who drilled up the court and let fly a long jumper that swished through the net.
T.J. Ford had 19 points and nine assists to help the Bucks move to 4-1 on the season.
O’Neal finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds while Ron Artest scored 24 points for the Pacers, who were up by as many as 20 points in the first half but failed to seal the win with pour foul shooting down the stretch.
