Denver, CO (Basketball News) - Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points to lead Denver to an easy 115-96 win over the Los Angeles Clippers at the Pepsi Center.
Marcus Camby had 20 points and 17 rebounds while Kenyon Martin contributed 17 points and nine boards for the red-hot Nuggets, who won for the 10th time in their last 11 games.
Corey Maggette went for a game-high 26 points and added seven rebounds for the Clippers, who had their two-game winning streak halted. Bobby Simmons and Lionel Chalmers both netted 15 points in the loss.
Denver shot a blistering 57 percent for the game (44-of-77), while Los Angeles made only 30-of-76 from the floor (40 percent).
The Nuggets, who never trailed in the game, led 28-22 after the first quarter and increased its edge to 60-50 at the intermission.
In the third quarter, the Clippers trimmed the deficit to 67-62, but the Nuggets took over from there. Denver used a quick 8-2 surge, keyed by four points each from Anthony and Camby, to grab a 75-64 edge.
The Nuggets led 81-68 after three quarters and were never threatened in the fourth period.
