NBA Game Summary - LA Clippers at Sacramento

03.12.2005

Sacramento, CA (Basketball News) - Mike Bibby nailed his second straight game- winning shot in the final seconds, as the Sacramento Kings edged the Los Angeles Clippers, 113-112.

Bibby led all scorers with 28 points and made 12 of 20 shots, none bigger than his fadeaway with 4/10ths of a second remaining.

Rick Brunson had made a steal and fed Bobby Simmons for the go-ahead layup with 4.9 seconds left, giving the Clippers a 112-111 advantage.

But Sacramento inbounded the ball to Bibby, who had made winners of the Kings Wednesday with a last-second shot against Memphis. Bibby did it again for the Kings Friday, juking his defender and hitting a fadeaway jumper just inside the three-point line to give Sacramento its third straight victory.

Corliss Williamson added 22 points, Cuttino Mobley 21 and Brian Skinner 14 with nine rebounds. The Kings are an impressive 23-8 at home this season, and have won four straight at ARCO Arena.

The Clippers were led by Corey Maggette’s 26 points and 10 rebounds. Simmons added 24 points and six rebounds while Zeljko Rebraca added 16 on 7-of-19 shooting. Los Angeles fell to 7-23 as the visitors this season.

The Clippers jumped out of the gate fast in this one and held a 31-24 lead after 12 minutes of play.

The Kings, however, outscored LA 31-22 in the second to carry a two-point lead into the locker room. The Clips put up a 35-spot in the third quarter and carried an 88-85 advantage into the final 12 minutes.

The Kings’ Brad Miller missed his sixth straight game with a calf muscle...The Clippers have lost 14 straight at ARCO Arena.
