East Rutherford, NJ (Basketball News) - Richard Jefferson scored 25 points, as the New Jersey Nets defeated the Philadelphia 76ers, 93-91, in preseason action at Continental Airlines Arena.
Jefferson had nine rebounds and eight assists as well while Vince Carter scored 21 points in the New Jersey win. Center Nenad Krstic scored 20 points and Jason Kidd went scoreless, but had 10 rebounds and six assists for the Nets.
John Salmons led Philadelphia with 25 points and seven assists. Andre Iguodala scored 15 and grabbed seven rebounds in the Sixers loss.
Philadelphia was without Allen Iverson, Chris Webber, and Samuel Dalembert who did not play due to injuries.
