A 12-5 Seattle run in the third cut it a 76-60, but the Cavs responded with a 9-2 spurt to make it 85-62 and Cleveland carried an 89-67 lead into the final stanza as the SuperSonics found themselves down 22 points.

It stayed all Cleveland, as the Cavaliers opened up the fourth with an 8-2 run and James’ alley-oop from Marshall gave the Cavs a 99-71 lead with just under nine minutes remaining in the game. Seattle would close it to within 103-80 until Cleveland scored five straight points and Luke Jackson’s basket then gave the Cavs a 110-83 lead.
