Manchester, NH (Basketball News) - Paul Pierce scored a team-high 19 points for the Boston Celtics, who defeated the Toronto Raptors, 107-100, in preseason action at the Verizon Wireless Arena.

Ryan Gomes netted 18 points for Boston, and Mark Blount had 15 points and five rebounds in the win.

Mike James scored a game-high 20 points for Toronto and added four assists. Rookie Charlie Villanueva chipped in 17 points and six rebounds for the Raptors.
