Silver Stars head coach/GM Hughes undergoes surgery

San Antonio, TX (Basketball News) - San Antonio Silver Stars head coach and general manager Dan Hughes underwent surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon Thursday morning.

Dr. Richard Steffen of the Sports Medicine Associates performed the surgery and Hughes, who became the just fifth coach in WNBA history to reach 100 victories this season, could return to the sidelines by Saturday.
