Portland has had a successful homestand, as it is 3-1. On Wednesday, Theo Ratliff’s dunk off a missed shot from Sebastian Telfair with 8.7 seconds left boosted the Trail Blazers to a 96-93 victory over the Chicago Bulls at the Rose Garden.
Zach Randolph led the way with 22 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Chicago for the Trail Blazers. Juan Dixon tallied 16 points and Darius Miles scored 14 for Portland, which shot 26-of-37 from the foul line.
The Trail Blazers have rebounded to have a solid showing in front of their home crowd, after opening the season with a pair of losses on the road to Minnesota and Denver.
Portland is scheduled to embark on a seven-game road trip after tonight’s game. The Blazers will visit New York, Memphis, Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Washington.
The Warriors have lost two of their last three games overall. Michael Redd scored a game-high 27 points and Bobby Simmons netted 20 as the Milwaukee Bucks downed Golden State, 90-87, on Wednesday at The Arena in Oakland.
Jason Richardson netted 21 points and Mickael Pietrus delivered 18 off the bench in the loss for the Warriors, who defeated the Bucks 110-103 in Milwaukee last week. Troy Murphy finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds in the loss.
Golden State is 2-2 on the road this season. The Warriors return to the court on Sunday as they will visit the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center.
These two teams have split the last eight contests in this series. The Warriors have lost 13 of their last 15 at Portland.
