Bobcats battle Warriors in Charlotte

(Basketball News) - The Charlotte Bobcats play the middle contest of a three- game homestand tonight, as they host the Golden State Warriors.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the squads. On December 2nd, Jason Richardson scored 22 points, including four late points in the paint, as Golden State came from behind for a 107-100 victory over Charlotte at The Arena in Oakland.

Golden State has won all three contests between the clubs.

Charlotte enters tonight’s contest on a two-game losing streak. On Monday, All-Star Shaquille O’Neal scored a season-high 35 points, including all of Miami’s points in overtime, as the Heat rallied to defeat the Bobcats, 106-105.

Gerald Wallace totaled 26 points and 15 rebounds and Brevin Knight added 24 points and dished out 11 assists for the Bobcats, who have lost nine of their last 11 contests overall.

The Bobcats are 10-19 as the host this season. They have dropped four straight at home.

Golden State has lost three in a row and seven of its last eight games, including Tuesday’s 113-106 loss to the Atlanta Hawks at Philips Arena.

Jason Richardson poured in 42 points and added seven rebounds, while Mike Dunleavy added 13 points and six boards for the Warriors.

The Warriors are 0-2 so far on their five-game road trip. They have lost their last five trips away from The Arena and are 9-19 as the guest this season.
