(Basketball News) - The Boston Celtics try to get back on the winning track this evening when they continue their five-game road trip against the Golden State Warriors at The Arena.
Boston won both matchups with the Warriors last season and has won four of the last five meetings. The Celtics have also won two straight in Oakland, but is just 3-7 in their last 10 visits to the Bay Area,
The Celtics dropped the first leg of their trek on Sunday with a 119-105 setback at the hands of the Sacramento Kings at ARCO Arena. Mark Blount posted 18 points with eight rebounds for Boston, which dropped its first game in four tries.
Raef LaFrentz added 15 points and 14 rebounds while Paul Pierce chipped in 16 points.
Pierce shot just 5-of-14 from the floor in the loss, but is averaging a team- high 22.1 points-per-game. In two games against the Warriors last season, Pierce averaged 26.5 points.
Boston, which will also visit Portland, Seattle, and Los Angeles (Clippers) on its trip, is just 2-5 away from home this season.
