(Basketball News) - Atlantic Division teams square off tonight, as the Boston Celtics visit the Washington Wizards at the MCI Center.
This is the third meeting of the season between the two squads. Boston won the two previous contests, which were both played at the FleetCenter. The teams will play again on April 4th at Washington.
Boston has won three straight after losing the last three contests with the Wizards. The Celtics have won five of eight and eight of the last 12 games. Boston has won two of three and six of its last nine at Washington.
The Celtics are in ninth place in the Eastern Conference, 1/2 game behind the New York Knicks and Miami Heat.
On Friday, Boston fell to the Indiana Pacers, 99-81, at the Fleet Center. Paul Pierce poured in a game-high 21 points and topped 10,000 points for his career, but the Celtics lost their second straight overall and seventh in the last 10 home games. Mark Blount chipped in 14 points and nine rebounds.
Boston, which has won three straight as the visitor, is 15-18 on the road this season.
