Bucks’ Ford sidelined with bruised spinal cord

02.25.2004

Milwaukee, WI (Basketball News) - Milwaukee Bucks starting point guard T.J. Ford will be sidelined 2-to-3 weeks with a mild bruise of his spinal cord.

Ford left Tuesday’s game against Minnesota on a stretcher after he fell hard to the court late in the fourth quarter of the 108-102 loss to the Timberwolves.

Ford was taken to St. Luke’s Medical Center Tuesday night for x-rays, which came back negative. However, upon further evaluation, which included an MRI, Ford was diagnosed with a mild bruise of the spinal cord.

In 55 games this season, Ford is averaging 7.1 points and 6.5 assists per contest.
