"Dave has an outstanding knowledge of the game of basketball, with a passion to match," said general manager Larry Harris. "He’s been a valuable member of the Bucks for the last eight years and he’s been a tremendous help since I took over as general manager two years ago. We’re happy to reward Dave’s dedication to our organization with this well-deserved promotion."
Babcock spent the past seven seasons as the team’s director of scouting. He joined the Bucks in 1997 as the assistant director of scouting before being promoted to director in 1998.
Prior to coming to Milwaukee, Babcock served as a full-time scout for the New Jersey Nets during the 1996-97 season. He has also held regional scouting positions with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks and Denver Nuggets.
