Milwaukee, WI (Basketball News) - The Milwaukee Bucks announced Friday they have re-signed free agent forward Toni Kukoc to a one-year contract.
Kukoc, who will be entering his 13th NBA campaign and fourth with Milwaukee, appeared in 53 games last season with the Bucks and averaged 5.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per contest.
"I’ve always had a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for the way Toni plays the game," Bucks head coach Terry Stotts said. "In addition to his solid, veteran presence on the floor, Toni’s knowledge and experience will be an invaluable asset to the younger players on our roster."
The 6-11 forward, who was originally drafted by Chicago in the second round of the 1990 NBA Draft, owns career averages of 12.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 781 games.
"I’m really happy to be returning to Milwaukee," said Kukoc. "I had a number of opportunities to play elsewhere, but Milwaukee has always been my first choice."
Kukoc owns three NBA Championship rings he won as a member of the Bulls from 1995-98.
