Bucks welcome Raptors to the Bradley Center

01.27.2006

(Basketball News) - The Toronto Raptors try to halt a three-game losing streak this evening when they visit the Milwaukee Bucks at the Bradley Center.

The Raptors’ miserable season continued on Wednesday, as they found themselves on the wrong end of a 104-88 decision to the Chicago Bulls at the United Center. Chris Bosh had 20 points and seven rebounds to pace Toronto, which has dropped five of six and seven of its last 10.

Mike James tallied 19 points and seven assists, while Jalen Rose had 13 points. Morris Peterson was held to just three points on 1-of-8 shooting, but did hand out five assists.

Toronto, which will start a five-game homestand after tonight’s affair, is 8-15 away from home this season.

Milwaukee, meanwhile, comes in riding a two-game losing streak after falling to the ultra-hot Detroit Pistons, 102-106, in overtime on Wednesday at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Michael Redd carried the Bucks and tied a career high with 41 points.

Andrew Bogut and Bobby Simmons both had 14 points in the loss, Milwaukee’s fifth in seven games.

After winning their first 13 games decided by six points or less, the Bucks have dropped their last two.

Jamaal Magloire managed just four points on 2-of-7 shooting. Over his past four games Magloire has made just 12-of-40 shots.

Milwaukee, which will close a brief two-game homestand against Boston on Sunday, is 11-9 in its arena this season.

Toronto split its four matchups with the Bucks last season, but could have the advantage tonight, as the road team in this series has won 11 of 12 and 12 of the last 14 meetings. The Raps have also won three straight and five of their last six in Milwaukee.
