Fizer, who missed 10 games with a sprained left ankle, has appeared in 36 games this year, averaging 6.2 points and 3.4 rebounds.
In a related move, the team placed forward Paul Shirley on the injured list with a bruised kidney. Shirley will miss the remainder of the season after suffering the injury in Chicago’s loss at Indiana on Monday night, the team said
The 6-10, 235-pound Shirley played college ball at Iowa State, where he was a teammate with Fizer for three seasons.
