Bulls batter Bucks

"I was just trying to be aggressive and make things happen even if I was missing shots," said Gordon. "Even though I tried to remain aggressive, I’m also trying to involve my teammates at the same time."

Andres Nocioni added 17 points and Luol Deng netted 17 and added nine rebounds for the Bulls, who snapped a two-game losing streak. P.J. Brown chipped in 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Michael Redd scored 30 points and Charlie Villanueva had 17 points and 13 boards for the Bucks, who have lost two of their last three games.

"We had a big problem containing the basketball tonight," said Redd. "Their penetration sucked us in, we couldn’t contain the ball, and they were hitting threes and jump shots...You don’t win a lot of ballgames letting your opponent shoot 59 percent at halftime and allowing 60 points at halftime. You’re just not going to win, not on the road."

Leading 27-20 after the opening 12 minutes, the Bulls opened the second quarter with a 19-6 run, which started with a Nocioni jumper. His jump shot almost three minutes later extended the lead to 37-22, and the burst was capped with five straight points from Gordon for a 20-point lead, 46-26.

Thabo Sefolosha’s trey just before the buzzer gave Chicago a 60-42 margin at the half, as the Bulls outscored Milwaukee 33-22 in the stanza.

The Bucks cut the deficit to 12, 63-51, with a 9-3 surge, including five points from Redd, to open the third quarter.

Redd’s bank shot brought Milwaukee within 73-61, but the Bulls scored the final seven points of the quarter for an 80-61 heading into the final frame.

Nocioni’s reverse layup with nearly nine minutes remaining extended the lead to 86-64, but the Bucks tried to get back in the game with a 10-2 rally, highlighted by a Charlie Bell’s three-point play, narrowing the gap to 88-74 with almost seven minutes to play.

However, Chicago couldn’t be stopped as it reeled off a 14-4 burst, including five points from Nocioni, for a 102-78 drubbing with under three minutes on the clock.
