Bulls continue swing at Seattle

02.2.2007

(Basketball News) - The Chicago Bulls try to get back on the winning track, as they play the second of a seven-game road trip against the Seattle SuperSonics tonight at KeyArena.

On Wednesday, Elton Brand poured in a game-high 26 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Los Angeles Clippers over Chicago, 110-98, at the Staples Center.

Kirk Hinrich led the Bulls with 25 points and 10 assists in the loss to the Clippers, while Ben Gordon and Luol Deng both scored 17 points in defeat. Deng also grabbed nine boards.

On the injury front for Chicago, center Ben Wallace (bruised tendon in left knee ) is questionable for tonight’s game. He missed his third contest of the season against the Clippers.

Chicago is just 6-14 on the road this season. The Bulls will also visit Portland, Utah, Sacramento, Golden State and Phoenix on the swing.

Seattle attempts to put the brakes on a three-game losing streak. Tracy McGrady poured in 36 points, grabbed five boards and dished out nine assists to lift the Houston Rockets over the SuperSonics, 112-102, on Wednesday at the Toyota Center.

Ray Allen matched McGrady with 36 points as the Sonics tied a franchise record with 14 straight losses on the road. Nick Collison posted 25 points and 17 rebounds in the loss for Seattle.

The SuperSonics are 13-11 at KeyArena this season.

This is the second and final meeting of the campaign between the clubs. On December 13th, Gordon ended with 27 points as the Bulls cruised to a 99-84 victory over Seattle at the United Center.

Chicago has lost three of its last four at Seattle.
