Bulls place Deng on injured list 04.5.2005

Deng, a first-round selection in the 2004 draft, has played in 61 games this season and is averaging 11.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game. This will be the second stint on the injured list for Deng, who suffered from an ankle sprain earlier in the season.
Deng’s injury originally occurred in Chicago’s 94-86 victory over Memphis on March 28 at the United Center. He left that game at the 7:41 mark of the second quarter and did not return to action. He then played in Bulls’ wins at Charlotte on March 30 and at home against Cleveland on March 31, but sat out Saturday’s win over Charlotte.
The 6-foot-11, 255-pound Reiner, who is also a rookie, had spent the last eight games on the injured list with a hip flexor strain. Reiner is averaging 1.2 points and 1.8 rebounds in 11 games this season.
Meanwhile, Bulls center Eddy Curry was released from the hospital Monday after suffering from an irregular heartbeat. He has already missed three games and will likely miss more time as he continues to undergo a comprehensive battery of tests.
