Bulls seeking turnaround

The Chicago season has been one of big swings - in both directions. In late December the team lost seven straight games. The Bulls broke the losing streak by winning three consecutive times before starting its current three-game losing streak.
In Chicago’s most recent outing, a 97-94 loss to Denver at the United Center, the game was dominated by Carmelo Anthony. The third-year pro out of Syracuse was outstanding posting 39 points along with four rebounds and three assists. The Bulls had no answer for the Denver forward.
Chicago has two more games remaining of a four-game homestand - Wednesday against the New York Knicks (13-23) and Friday against the Houston Rockets (12-24).
The Bulls "owned" the Knicks last year, winning all four contests, but lost 109-101 to New York in late November. New York outscored the Bulls 35-19 in the deciding fourth quarter and ended the game by going 45-of-57 from the foul line.
The Bulls have sent opponents to the line 1,107 times, among the top-five in the NBA.
On the other hand, the Bulls had lost four straight to Houston before defeating the Rockets 94-89 on November 26th.
Guard/forward Eric Piatkowski (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday’s game. Andres Nocioni is expected to play despite nursing a sore neck.
