Chicago plays the finale of a brief two-game homestand. On Friday, Kevin Martin’s jumper with 6.4 seconds left in the fourth quarter proved to be the game-winner, and sent the Sacramento Kings to a shocking 89-88 win over the Bulls at the United Center.
Luol Deng scored 29 points in defeat, while guard Kirk Hinrich netted 15 for Chicago. Andres Nocioni added 14 points off the bench and All-Star Ben Wallace registered nine points and 13 rebounds in the Bulls home-opening loss.
The Bulls travel to Cleveland to face LeBron James and the Cavaliers on Thursday at Quicken Loans Arena.
Milwaukee tries to notch its second straight victory. Michael Redd, Charlie Villanueva, and Andrew Bogut all scored 20-plus points, as the Bucks won their home opener by trouncing the Sacramento Kings, 104-91, on Saturday at the Bradley Center.
The Bucks shot 50 percent from the field in the first half versus Sacramento, led by sharp-shooting guard Michael Redd, who scored 18 of his team-high 26 in the half on 6-for-11 shooting, including 4-for-5 from behind the arc.
Bogut ended with 21 points and eight rebounds and Mo Williams had 15 points and 12 assists in the win for the Bucks. Villanueva scored 25 and pulled down seven rebounds despite a calf injury that kept him out of the fourth quarter of Milwaukee’s 109-92 loss to the Toronto Raptors on Friday at Air Canada Centre.
Milwaukee is 1-1 on the road this season. The Bucks return home on Wednesday to host Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets.
Last season, Milwaukee and the Bulls split four meetings. The Bucks have lost three of their last four at Chicago.
