Cavs activate Varejao; place Williams on IL

Cleveland, OH (Basketball News) - The Cleveland Cavaliers have activated forward/center Anderson Varejao and placed forward/center Scott Williams on the injured list.

Varejao had been on the injured list since February 1 with a left ankle sprain, which he sustained on January 24 against Washington. He has played in 30 games this season, averaging 4.4 points and 4.6 rebounds in 13.7 minutes.

Williams has been bothered by patella tendinitis in his right knee and has appeared in just 19 games this season. The veteran is averaging just 1.7 points and 1.6 rebounds.
