Cavs add Cleaves to the mix

Cleveland, OH (Basketball News) - The Cleveland Cavaliers Monday signed guard Mateen Cleaves to a 10-day contract.

Cleaves was the 14th overall pick in the 2000 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons. He has played three seasons in the NBA with Detroit and Sacramento.

The Michigan State product has appeared in 122 career games, averaging 4.2 points and 2.0 assists per contest.

Cleaves was currently playing with the Huntsville Flight of the National Basketball Development League.
