Clippers waive Murray; roster set at 14 10.26.2006

Murray, who rejoined the club that originally drafted him with the seventh overall pick in the 1994 draft, averaged 4.5 points and 3.5 rebounds in four preseason games. Murray spent five seasons with the Clippers and averaged 11.6 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
Murray spent last season with the New Jersey Nets and appeared in 57 games averaging just 3.4 points per contest.
The 11-year veteran holds career averages of 11.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per contest in 736-career games with the Clippers, Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors and Nets.
Murray’s best season came in 2001 with the Cavs when he tallied 16.6 points and 5.2 boards over 71 games.
In other news the Clippers also waived forwards Ryan Humphrey and Jawad Williams and guard Dawan Robinson to set the roster at 14 players.
