Disappointing Timberwolves visit Charlotte 04.4.2006

Charlotte is 1-2 on the homestand and suffered a 101-97 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday.
Raymond Felton scored a team-high 20 points, while Jumaine Jones totaled 18 points and eight rebounds for the Bobcats, who have lost five of their last six games. Gerald Wallace added 17 points and nine boards in the loss.
The Bobcats are 2-4 in their last six home games and 14-23 as the host in 2005-06.
Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have won three of their last four games, including Sunday’s 106-104 overtime victory against the Golden State Warriors.
Marcus Banks had 24 points, seven assists and five rebounds to lead Minnesota at the Target Center. Kevin Garnett posted 19 points and 13 boards for his 30th straight double-double, the longest mark since 1983 when Moses Malone notched 44 in a row.
Minnesota will now hit the road for two games in Charlotte and Atlanta. The Timberwolves have lost 11 in a row on the road and are a brutal 8-28 as the visitor this season.
The Timberwolves’ last win away from home was on February 6th at Phoenix.
Tuesday’s game between Minnesota and Charlotte is the second and final meeting of 2005-06. On November 19, Garnett had 19 points to lead five Timberwolves in double figures, as Minnesota recorded a 102-89 win at the Target Center.
