Dixon agrees to deal with Trail Blazers 07.28.2005

Dixon’s agent, Calvin Andrews, confirmed the agreement with the Washington Post, but no contract can become official until the new collective bargaining agreement is ratified.
The 26-year-old Dixon, the 17th overall selection of Washington in 2002, scored 8.1 points and 1.6 assists in 63 games last season, 23 of which were starts. For his career Dixon has averaged 8.2 points with 1.6 assists in 176 games, all with the Wizards.
Dixon starred collegiately at Maryland, where he is the school’s all-time leading scorer. He also helped lead the Terrapins to the 2002 NCAA championship.
