The Spurs lead the best-of-seven set, 2-1, with Game 4 slated for Monday night in San Antonio.
Manu Ginobili, who had 14 points in Games 1 and 2 combined, exploded for 24 points for the Spurs. Ginobili was inadvertently poked in his left eye by Shawn Marion late in the third quarter. The skin below his eye bruised purple and swelled, but he fought through the injury and continued to play. Tony Parker finished with 16 points.
Marion had 26 points and seven rebounds for the Suns. Steve Nash finished with 16 points, eight rebounds and 11 assists. Nash was held scoreless in the first half, and missed his first nine shots from the field before heating up in the second half, and finished 6-of-17. Amare Stoudemire scored 21 points on 7-of-11 shooting, but played less than 21 minutes, and sat much of the second half due to foul trouble.
