Gasol nets triple double as Grizzlies blast Sonics 03.9.2006

Jake Tsakalidis added 17 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the floor and ripped down 15 boards for the Grizzlies, who have won four of their last five games. Chucky Atkins and Bobby Jackson each donated 15 points in the win.
Ray Allen netted 18 points while Johan Petro scored 11 and had 10 rebounds for the SuperSonics, who lost for the second time in their last three games.
Memphis led the entire way and shot 46.9 percent from the field for the contest.
Gasol netted five straight points and Shane Battier followed with a jumper to cap a 7-0 run that gave Memphis a 20-10 lead with just under two minutes to play in the opening quarter. At the end of the period the Grizzlies were up 25-16.
Seattle put together a 7-0 run early in the second stanza to cut the deficit down to three points at 27-24. The SuperSonics outscored the Grizzlies 21-19 in the second quarter as Memphis led 44-37 at the break.
Tsakalidis had 10 points and 10 rebounds over the opening 24 minutes, while Gasol also netted 10 points in the first half.
Atkins and Mike Miller hit back-to-back jumpers for a 60-46 Memphis lead with 6:07 remaining in the third quarter. The Grizzlies closed out the frame with a 8-2 spurt to take a 75-56 advantage into the final quarter.
A running hook shot in the paint by Battier gave Memphis a commanding 22-point lead at 86-64 with 7:41 remaining.
The Grizzlies outscored the SuperSonics 24-18 in the fourth quarter.
