(Basketball News) - Jason Richardson poured in a game-high 35 points on 12- of-18 shooting from the floor to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 103-100 victory over Cleveland at Gund Arena.
Mike Dunleavy chipped in 23 points for the Warriors, who won at Gund Arena for the first time in 10 tries. Troy Murphy added 18 points and six rebounds off the bench in the winning effort.
Golden State swept the two-game season series versus the Cavaliers, as the Warriors won in Oakland back on January 15. The victory was also Golden State’s first in Cleveland since November 28, 1990.
The Warriors were without center Erick Dampier, the NBA’s fourth-leading rebounder, who will likely be sidelined the rest of the season with a left ankle sprain.
Golden State, which wrapped up a three-game road trip last night, won for just the third time in its last 11 on the road and improved to 10-29 away from home this season.
The Warriors have now won seven of their 10 games played on Saturday this season.
Golden State will return to action on Tuesday against the Houston Rockets.
