(Basketball News) - The Golden State Warriors play the New Orleans Hornets tonight at New Orleans Arena. With a victory tonight, the Warriors can secure their first three-game win streak since they won seven straight games from March 15-28 of last season.
The Warriors and Hornets met on November 23 in Oakland and Golden State posted a thrilling triple-overtime victory. The win snapped a two-game series losing streak for the Warriors and was just the second victory in 11 tries for Golden State in the series. The Warriors have also dropped seven straight on the road against the Hornets.
Golden State won its second straight contest with a surprising victory in Dallas on Tuesday.
Speedy Claxton notched his second double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 assists along with seven rebounds to lead Golden State over Dallas 111-107, at American Airlines Center.
Clifford Robinson netted 25 points and grabbed seven boards for the Warriors, who won on the road against the Mavericks for the first time since April 10, 1999, a span of 12 straight losses. Overall, Golden State won for the fourth time in its last six games this season.
