(Basketball News) - Golden State continued its struggles in Utah on Tuesday, as the Warriors dropped a 97-80 decision to the Jazz at the Delta Center.
Clifford Robinson netted a game-high 23 points for the Warriors, who dropped their ninth straight road contest and fell for the ninth time in their last 10 overall. Brian Cardinal and Speedy Claxton were Golden State’s other double- figure scorers with 14 and 12, respectively.
Golden State dropped its 18th straight in Salt Lake City and lost for the 26th time in the last 30 meetings in the series.
The Warriors were dominated in several aspects of the contest, including a 49-35 rebounding disadvantage and were outscored 14-4 in fast-break points.
Calbert Cheaney, who played for the Jazz last season, received scattered applause when he entered the game midway through the first quarter. He finished with two points and four rebounds.
Last night’s loss was the first game in three tries that the Warriors did not need overtime.
Golden State, which fell to 4-15 away from home this season, returns to action on Thursday against Cleveland.
